The A Major Eleventh Chord has a Major quality which includes a Major Third interval that produces a generally happy sound. A Major Eleventh Chord contains the notes A, C, E, G, B, D. The A Major Eleventh Chord is an Extended type chord which means it includes a Triad (the Root A, the Third C, and the Fifth E), the Seventh G, and also includes the Eleventh (Fourth) D from the octave above.
