The D Major Sixth Chord has a Major quality which includes a Major Third interval that produces a generally happy sound. D Major Sixth Chord contains the notes D, F, A, B. The D Major Sixth Chord is an Added type chord which means it includes a Triad (the Root D, the Third F, and the Fifth A) and one or more additional notes, in this case the Sixth B.
