The F Major Ninth Chord has a Major quality which includes a Major Third interval that produces a generally happy sound. F Major Ninth Chord contains the notes F, A, C, E, G. The F Major Ninth Chord is an Extended type chord which means it includes a Triad (the Root F, the Third A, and the Fifth C), the Seventh E, and also includes the Ninth (Second) G from the octave above.
